Shout Out

I know I haven’t been around, and I know that I ended up not being at Dragonsteel Nexus. I’m not sure if anyone went there looking for me, so I’m sure that’s just fine. I have hopes of joining for 2026.

I do have a list of books I read last year that I want to share, but for today, just quickly, I wanted to give a shout out to the awesome reader on Kindle Unlimited who was reading Voice in the Dark.

They were reading it last week, and it was very entertaining to me to click into the stats page and watch the “pages read” go up in steady increments. Then all of a sudden it jumped almost four hundred pages overnight and I see that whomever it was clicked over to immediately start reading Light on the Mountain. That’s so cool.

Also, dear reader, thanks for giving it five stars on Goodreads - I can’t tell you how much that means to me. Especially after seeing the ratings you gave for A Marvellous Light and Throne of Glass (hint: not five stars, either of them).

It gives me a little hope. Maybe you’ll tell your friends about it. Maybe they’ll read it and love it too. Maybe I shouldn’t give up on this writing thing just yet.

Hope you love Light on the Mountain. Thanks so much for reading.

And soon, I’ll be back with news on the audiobook for Thunder on the Lake. I hear from my narrator that it’s in the final editing phases, so we’ll be puzzling out how to make it available via Audible very soon now. Stay tuned.
